About Callie Nelson

I am a mother, wife to a Cramahe firefighter, local business owner, community volunteer, and proud resident of the Township of Cramahe.

I moved my life to Colborne from Toronto in the Fall of 2023 following the birth of my Son. The following August of 2024 I resigned from my job in Toronto. I had started with this company in 2016 as a casual bartender and worked my way up to the position of Operations Director.

This position was in fact two roles, operating a pair of multimillion dollar businesses simultaneously for half the year. Both of which I had rebuilt after all regular business ceased for nearly two years. I was the only staff retained 2020-2021 leaving me with the task of rebuilding both operations. 75+ staff at the venue across 8 different departments and 200+ staff for catering operations. In these roles I was exposed to countless lessons in fiscal responsibility, planning through to execution, how to maintain big picture perspective while being adaptable and applying logical problem solving.

When my Son turned one I decided to start my own business. Something I never could have even imagined for myself growing up in Toronto. As the owner of Alchimista Coffee Bar in downtown Colborne, I have had the opportunity to meet and connect with people from across our community. My heart is so full and I would not have been able to accomplish any of it without the unwavering support of my husband and the incredible community around us.

Cramahe is my home. It is where I am raising my family, pursuing my dreams, and where I have found the community that I realized I was searching for my entire life.

Cramahe is a special place built on a strong agricultural foundation filled of some the most genuine people I have had the privilege of connecting with. I believe in our future here and would be honoured if I was given the opportunity to represent the residents of Cramahe as Deputy Mayor.
